Reliability and predictability at work. How can anyone not be reliable and still have a job? It is baffling. Yet time and again, you see the chronically late, the frequently ill, or the burned-out senior co-worker who just doesn’t care anymore. Beware of the sociopathic saboteur who leaves you holding the bag while throwing you under the bus. They are often charismatic charmers who believe winning is more important than anything or anyone. They instinctively know how to appeal to fears and weakness. Ultimately, they can take down individuals, companies and even countries. It’s a very tough position to find yourself in and more common than most people realize.
