What would you do if you weren’t afraid? –David Brooks
When you are on the edge about leaving your position, or considering a new assignment or endeavor, ask yourself: What do I really want? A client struggling with career questions responded clearly with: “I want to make beautiful things with my hands.” Try on your dreams and ideas. Ask yourself if you could be comfortable as an entrepreneur with autonomy but no security. Consider phasing gradually by while keeping security and benefits. Want to open your own restaurant? Visit potential space and imagine what your place would look like. Prefer the benefits and opportunities of a large corporation? Make connections, get out, let people know you are available. When you are ready, you will know what to do. Commitment sets you free.
